Compare air fryer models

Pick any two of the 29 models AirfryerHQ has read a manual for. You will get what is genuinely different between them, what is identical, and what neither manufacturer publishes — with a line on each difference saying whether it changes anything. There is no score and no winner: nobody here has tested these appliances, and a league table with no measurement behind it is an opinion pretending to be data.

Compare two machines

Pick two machines. You will get what is actually different between them, what is the same, and what nobody has published — in that order, with no score and no winner.

Litres is not the number you want, and nobody publishes the one you do

Capacity here is nominal litres, which is what manufacturers advertise. The number that actually decides whether your chips fit in one layer is the usable cooking AREA, and it is not published for a single model on this page — so this page does not show it, and does not derive it from litres either, because it cannot be derived.

One machine here makes the point on its own. The Tefal dual drawer is 8.3 litres, and its manufacturer’s own chart gives its two drawers 1,400g and 800g of the same food. A single capacity figure cannot express that, and neither can any arithmetic performed on it.

Every model, by architecture

Comparison assumes you already have two machines in mind. If you have one, or none, start here: architecture decides more about how an air fryer cooks than any specification does, and the page describing a shape is useful even when we do not hold your exact model.

Basket air fryer

12 models. The reference machine: one deep drawer, a perforated basket, element and fan above the food. How this architecture behaves.

Dual-basket air fryer

6 models. Two independent drawers, each with its own element, fan and controls — and a synchronisation problem to solve. How this architecture behaves.

Flex-drawer air fryer (one drawer, removable divider)

2 models. One large drawer with a removable divider. Two zones when you want them, one big one when you do not — and a single temperature either way. How this architecture behaves.

Multicooker with air fry

2 models. A pressure cooker or slow cooker with a crisping lid: excellent at finishing, awkward at crisping from raw. How this architecture behaves.

Oven-style air fryer

2 models. A wide, shallow cavity with a door and shelves: more usable area, less air velocity. How this architecture behaves.

Countertop oven with air fry

2 models. A small conventional oven with an air-fry mode added — a real oven first and an air fryer second. How this architecture behaves.

Combination microwave with air fry

2 models. Microwave, convection and air fry in one cavity — capable, and the hardest architecture to give general advice for. How this architecture behaves.

Built-in oven with an air-fry mode

1 model. A full-size oven with an air-fry setting. Whether it genuinely air-fries is the question this product was built to answer honestly. How this architecture behaves.

How to read any of this

Air-fry verdict
AirfryerHQ’s own assessment against stated criteria, not the manufacturer’s marketing. Every model page shows the reasoning so you can disagree with it.
Panel modes
How many of the buttons on the panel we hold a published set point or range for — a count of buttons, not of capabilities. Most named modes are a stored temperature and time you could dial in yourself.
Safety alerts
Verified recalls or safety notices covering the model. “None recorded” is not a clearance — AirfryerHQ holds a small number of checked alerts and is not a copy of any national register.
Missing figures
A field left out is a field nobody published, not a field nobody looked for. The comparison above puts those in a section of their own rather than hiding them, because what an industry declines to measure is itself worth knowing.
