Nothing is collected unless you say yes. If you do, how the site is used is recorded with Google Analytics, and nothing you type is recorded.
What we collect
Nothing, unless you say yes. AirfryerHQ asks once whether we may record how the site is used. Until you answer, no analytics script is loaded, no analytics cookie is set and nothing is sent to any analytics service. Declining is a button of equal weight to accepting.
If you accept, we record which pages are read, which cooking states and appliance types are selected, and — most usefully to us — which combinations we could not answer. Nothing you type is recorded. A search is recorded as a count of words and whether anything was found, never the words themselves.
All of this is sent to Google Analytics. Accepting loads Google's analytics script, which sets cookies on this site and sends, each time, the address and title of the page you are on, your screen size, your browser and operating system, and your language. It also sends some information of its own, such as when a visit begins and whether it is your first.
What we never collect
No name, email, address, phone number or account identifier: AirfryerHQ has no accounts, and what it sends has no field for any of these, or for an IP address. As with any request a browser makes, the requests yours makes to Google arrive from your IP address.
There is no advertising on the site, and we have switched off the advertising features of Google Analytics. Apart from Google's analytics script, which is loaded only if you accept, the site loads no third-party scripts.
If you accept analytics, AirfryerHQ also creates a random identifier for the tab you are using. It is not sent to Google and it is discarded when you close the tab or turn analytics off. The Google Analytics cookie is a different thing: it stays on your device for longer and lets Google Analytics recognise the same browser on a later visit.
Who processes it
HEKNO Ltd is the data controller. What AirfryerHQ records is decided by HEKNO Analytics, the measurement system operated by the same company: it defines each thing that may be recorded, checks what it contains and sends nothing without your consent.
What passes those checks is sent to Google Analytics, a service provided by Google, which receives and stores it for us. Google Analytics is at present the only service outside AirfryerHQ that receives it.
Questions about any of this: privacy@hekno.co.uk.
Changing your mind
You can change your decision at any time on the Cookies page. Turning analytics off stops anything further being sent, discards the identifier for your tab, and removes the Google Analytics cookies that this site is able to remove. It cannot take back what was already sent.
Clearing this site's data in your browser removes the stored decision as well, and you will be asked again.
