What earns a page, what earns a number, and what we do when we do not know.
A page exists because it answers a real question
Not because a section looked thin and not because a combination is possible. A relationship existing in the data is not a reason to publish a page about it, and the route contract deliberately forbids several page families the data model would happily support.
The catalogue is small on purpose. It will grow by adding things worth having rather than by multiplying what is already here.
Ranges, not invented precision
A cooking time is a range with a stated basis, because that is the shape of the thing that is actually known. A model that can only hold one number gets filled with one number, and the false precision arrives through the schema rather than through anybody's decision.
Temperatures are rounded to increments appliances can actually be set to. A recommendation your dial cannot express is not a recommendation.
We say what we do not know
Unrecorded specifications on a model page print the reason they are unrecorded rather than being omitted, because a missing wattage on a page full of numbers reads as 'there isn't one'. There is one. Nobody here has read it.
Recall status reads 'not checked' where we have not checked, which is not the same as 'no recall known' and is recorded differently.
Corrections
If something here is wrong, tell us at hello@hekno.co.uk and we will fix it and say that we have. A correction that materially changes advice will be noted on the page rather than made silently.
Wrong is more useful to us than vague. A page saying 'this figure is too high for a thin fillet' is something we can act on.
