Where to get real advice for this machine
Almost everything that changes a cooking answer is a property of the architecture rather than the badge. This is a basket air fryer, and the Basket air fryer page carries the cooking guidance that actually applies to it.
This is the baseline every cooking page on AirfryerHQ is written for. Times and temperatures are stated for a single layer in a drawer of this kind, so no adjustment applies. The one thing worth knowing about it is that the usable area is much smaller than the advertised litres suggest — the depth is mostly headroom, and food still has to go in one layer.
Does it genuinely air-fry?
Genuine air frying
Assessed by architecture against the criteria: a single deep drawer with element and fan above a perforated basket meets fast air and air-reaching-all-surfaces by construction. Note that an air-fry capability assessment is a statement about how the appliance cooks and says nothing whatever about whether it is safe to use — this model is subject to an active fire-risk recall and the two questions are entirely separate.
- Air moves fast, not just around
- Air reaches every surface of the food
- Recovers temperature quickly after loading
- Fat and moisture drain away
What we know about this machine
Read from Tower T17067 4L Digital Air Fryer — Safety and Instruction Manual (PDF), retrieved on 2026-08-13.
It is rated at 1400 W, an ordinary domestic rating that recovers temperature reasonably quickly after cold food goes in. It has a single cooking drawer, so everything in it cooks at one temperature for one time. It is sold as 4 litres, which measures the whole drawer including the space above the food that you must not fill.
The figures above are the manufacturer’s. What they mean for cooking is AirfryerHQ’s reading of them, not a measurement — nobody here has run this machine.

11 figures we could not establish
Each of these says WHY it is missing. “Not recorded by the sources consulted” means the manufacturer does not publish it in the document we read — not that nobody looked, and not that the figure does not exist.

What each setting actually does
Read from the manual. The marketing name is what is printed on the panel; the canonical capability is what the mode is in generic terms, so a reader can find advice written for somebody else’s appliance.

| French fries | Air fry | No temperature setting | Fixed — cannot be changed | Not stated |

Error codes and display states
Only what this manufacturer publishes, and only for this manufacturer. A code means whatever the firmware author decided it means, and reading one across from another brand is the commonest way to misdiagnose a fault.
AirfryerHQ does not hold this code for this manufacturer. That is a statement about this catalogue and not about your appliance: most manufacturers publish no code table at all, and a code's meaning is specific to the firmware that produced it. Do not read a meaning across from another brand — check your own manual, and contact the manufacturer if it is not in there.

Faults the manual documents, as printed
Only what the manufacturer publishes. AirfryerHQ does not invent the meaning of an error code, and where a manual documents one undifferentiated fault state that is what appears here.
The air fryer does not work
The manual gives three causes, and the third is particular to this panel: selecting a cook mode does not start it. The On/Standby key must be pressed afterwards. The other two are an unplugged appliance and one that has not been switched on.
Check the plug and the power, then press On/Standby after choosing the preset. A machine that appears dead after a mode has been selected is usually waiting for that second press.
White smoke comes out of the air fryer
Attributed to grease left from previous use heating up inside the fryer, rather than to the food being cooked now.
Clean the fryer properly after every use.
Fried snacks are not crisp when they come out
Three causes: the wrong type of snack, grease from previous use, or too much food in the drawer.
Cook smaller batches, which the manual states fry more evenly, and lightly brush the food with oil.
Replaceable parts
AirfryerHQ holds no part records for Tower T17067 4L Digital Air Fryer. That is a statement about this catalogue rather than about the appliance: every air fryer has a basket and most have a crisper plate, and the manual read for this model does not enumerate them in a way we could record. What can be replaced, and what to ask for covers the general case, including where to find the model number a parts desk will ask you for.
Recall and safety status
This model is named in a published safety alert.
Product recall \u2014 Office for Product Safety and Standards, 2503-0094 and 2603-0060, 2025-04-08
Hazard: Fire. The alert states that the product presents a risk of fire as it can overheat and ignite during use. No further mechanism is described, and no risk level is graded on the document.
What to do: The product has been recalled from end users. Owners are told to stop using it immediately and unplug it, and are directed to the Tower Housewares recall site at tower-safety.co.uk to check whether their product is affected and to register for a refund or replacement.
Active recall
Named in OPSS product recall 2503-0094 as one of six Tower air fryers that can overheat and ignite during use. Checked against the published alert on 13 August 2026; the alert's own currency was not established, so the recall is recorded as active on the strength of the notice never having been withdrawn rather than on a confirmation that it stands.
The Office for Product Safety and Standards publishes the UK register of product safety alerts, reports and recalls on GOV.UK, and Electrical Safety First operates a recall checker for electrical appliances. Registering an appliance with its manufacturer is what makes a direct notification possible.
Finding the manual
The manual's settings table qualifies every cooking time by a quantity in grams, which is the most useful cooking data of any manual read for this catalogue.
About this model
A conventional single-drawer basket air fryer with a digital panel and preset menus. It is in this catalogue for one reason above its specifications: it is one of six Tower models recalled in 2025 because they can overheat and ignite during use. If you own one, the recall is the only part of this page that matters.
