Flex-drawer air fryer (one drawer, removable divider)
Philips 5000 Series Megabasket Airfryer with Steam NA565
Model NA565 (also NA565/92, NA565/02) — United Kingdom, European Union
One large drawer with a removable divider — and the manual prints the same preset at two different times, depending on the wattage of the version you were sold.

Where to get real advice for this machine
Almost everything that changes a cooking answer is a property of the architecture rather than the badge. This is a flex-drawer air fryer, and the Flex-drawer air fryer page carries the cooking guidance that actually applies to it.
Undivided, treat it as a basket machine with more room: times and temperatures transfer unchanged and the extra area means a portion that would have been heaped in a smaller drawer can go in one layer, which is worth more than any time adjustment. Divided, the critical difference from a dual-basket machine is that BOTH SIDES SHARE ONE TEMPERATURE and one fan — you can set two timers, not two temperatures. Pair foods that want the same heat and different times, not foods that want different heat.
Does it genuinely air-fry?
Genuine air frying
Genuine. Food sits on a perforated plate above the pan floor, so air reaches underneath and fat drains away, with a published ceiling of 200°C. Used as one undivided drawer of around ten litres it is a large chamber for an air fryer, and the manufacturer's own preset times for the lower-wattage version are longer for that reason.
- Air moves fast, not just around
- Air reaches every surface of the food
- Fat and moisture drain away
- Reaches genuine browning temperatures
What we know about this machine
Read from Philips Airfryer 5000 Series Megabasket with Steam NA565 — User Manual (PDF), retrieved on 2026-10-09.
It is rated at 2300 W, which is toward the top of the domestic range and means it recovers temperature quickly after cold food goes in. It has 2 independent drawers, so two foods can cook at different temperatures at once — which buys variety rather than volume. It runs from 40°C to 200°C, and the low end is genuinely useful: it is enough to dehydrate, prove dough or hold food warm. On preheating: comes up to temperature quickly. It is sold as 9.5 litres, which measures the whole drawer including the space above the food that you must not fill.
The figures above are the manufacturer’s. What they mean for cooking is AirfryerHQ’s reading of them, not a measurement — nobody here has run this machine.

4 figures we could not establish
Each of these says WHY it is missing. “Not recorded by the sources consulted” means the manufacturer does not publish it in the document we read — not that nobody looked, and not that the figure does not exist.
- Usable cooking area
- Not recorded by the sources consulted — Not published.

What each setting actually does
Read from the manual. The first column is the name printed on the panel; the second is what that setting is in plain terms, so you can use advice written for somebody else’s appliance.
| On the panel | In plain terms | Starts at | Settable range | Preheat |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Airfry | Air fry | No temperature setting | 40–200°C | No |
| Steamfry | Steam with air frying | No temperature setting | Adjustable, range not published | No |
| Steam | Steam | 100°C | Fixed — cannot be changed | No |
| Reheat | Reheat | 180°C, 6 min | Adjustable, range not published | Not stated |
- Airfry: Available on both sides and in the undivided drawer. Hot air only.
- Steamfry: Right-hand side or undivided drawer only. The manual defines it as hot air and steam together; its preset table uses 160°C to 200°C. This is the same thing the manufacturer calls Steam&airfry on its two-drawer model.
- Steam: Right-hand side or undivided drawer only. Every steam entry in the manual's tables is 100°C.
- Reheat: A preset published three ways for 850 g of food: 6 minutes at 180°C with hot air, 22 minutes at 160°C with steam and hot air, or 16 minutes with steam alone. One button, three quite different things, depending on the mode chosen with it.

That figure is from this model’s own rating plate or documentation. A model sold under the same marketing name in another market may be different hardware — different code, capacity, wattage or supply — so check the plate on the machine in front of you rather than the name on the box.
A travel plug adapter changes the shape of the pins and nothing else. It does not convert voltage. Whether an appliance built for one mains standard can be used safely on another is a question about a two-kilowatt heating load, and it is one for a qualified electrician rather than for this page.
Error codes and display states
Only what this manufacturer publishes, and only for this manufacturer. A code means whatever the firmware author decided it means, and reading one across from another brand is the commonest way to misdiagnose a fault.
Published without a stated cause
E01- What the manual says it means
- The manual gives one possible cause: the appliance has been stored somewhere too cold to start.
- What to do
- Let the appliance stand at room temperature for at least 15 minutes before plugging it in again. If the display still shows the code, contact the manufacturer's Consumer Care Center.
- Can it be reset?
- Yes, the manual says so
- Does it need service?
- The manual does not say

E04, E05, E09, E12- What the manual says it means
- The manual lists these four together as a possible malfunction and publishes no individual meaning for any of them.
- What to do
- Unplug the appliance and plug it in again. If the code returns, stop using it and contact the manufacturer's Consumer Care Center.
- Can it be reset?
- Yes, the manual says so
- Does it need service?
- The manual does not say
Stop using it and contact the manufacturer
The manufacturer does not say what has failed, so there is nothing here to diagnose at home. One restart is what the manual offers; a code that comes back is a reason to stop, not to keep trying.

Steam cleaning takes 20 minutes — 15 of steam and 5 of drying. A descaling reminder appears after every ten hours of steam use and the manual specifies the manufacturer's own descaler. Non-stick parts: no metal utensils, no abrasives, no wire brush.
Faults the manual documents, as printed
Only what the manufacturer publishes. AirfryerHQ does not invent the meaning of an error code, and where a manual documents one undifferentiated fault state that is what appears here.
“E01”
The manual gives one cause: the appliance may have been stored somewhere too cold.
Let it stand at room temperature for at least 15 minutes before plugging it in again. If the code remains, the manual says to contact the Consumer Care Center.
“E04, E05, E09 or E12”
Described only as a possible malfunction. No individual meanings are published.
Unplug the appliance and plug it in again. If that does not clear it, contact the Consumer Care Center — the manual gives no user repair.
Small spots where the coating has come off inside the pan
The manual attributes these to the bottom plate knocking the pan wall when it is put in at an angle, or to harsh cleaning tools.
Lower the bottom plate in level rather than at an angle, and clean with a non-abrasive sponge. The manual's position is that the materials are food-safe; if the coating is flaking more widely, ask the manufacturer.
Water left in the cooking chamber after steaming
Condensation from steam cooking, which the manual describes as normal in small amounts.
Wipe it away with a soft cloth once the appliance has cooled.
Replaceable parts
AirfryerHQ holds no replacement-part details for Philips 5000 Series Megabasket Airfryer with Steam NA565. That is a statement about this catalogue rather than about the appliance: every air fryer has a basket and most have a crisper plate, and the manual read for this model does not enumerate them in a way we could record. What can be replaced, and what to ask for covers the general case, including where to find the model number a parts desk will ask you for.
Accessories with something documented for this model
Statements read from this machine’s own documentation. AirfryerHQ does not infer that an accessory fits an appliance from its advertised capacity, and no manufacturer here publishes the dimensions that would let anybody do so.
Genuinely useful
Silicone-tipped tongs
The accessory that protects the most expensive part of the appliance, and manufacturers are unusually united about it.
You probably do not need this
Disposable paper liners
Sold to save washing up, and the one comparison we have read found they do not: grease goes through. Several manufacturers forbid paper in the basket altogether.
Useful for a specific job
Oven-safe dish
It turns an air fryer into a small oven for the things that need a container. You almost certainly own one already, and the only real question is whether it fits with room for air round it.
Recall and safety status
Recall status not checked
Recall status was not checked for this model when it was added on 9 October 2026. That is a statement about what we have looked up, not about the appliance — check the manufacturer and your national product-safety authority.
No verified recall or safety notice is currently recorded in AirfryerHQ for this appliance. That is a statement about this catalogue and not about the product: AirfryerHQ holds a small number of checked alerts and is not a copy of the UK register. Check the authority's own register before concluding that an appliance is unaffected.
The Office for Product Safety and Standards publishes the UK register of product safety alerts, reports and recalls on GOV.UK, and Electrical Safety First operates a recall checker for electrical appliances. Registering an appliance with its manufacturer is what makes a direct notification possible.
AirfryerHQ has no recall data feed and has not checked. That is not a clean bill of health — it is an absence of checking, and it is recorded as one. Check the manufacturer’s own recall page and your national product-safety register.
Finding the manual
Prints every preset as a weight with a time and temperature under each mode — and prints the whole table twice, once for a 2,750 W version and once for a 2,200–2,300 W version. Frozen fries, 1.3 kg in the undivided drawer at 200°C: 26 minutes on one, 29 on the other. The synchronised finish starts the two sides at different times so they end together, and the manual warns against using it with food that spoils easily.
About this model
A single extra-large drawer that a divider turns into two. Undivided, or on the right-hand side, it air fries, steams, or does both at once in a mode the manufacturer calls Steamfry; the left-hand side air fries only. The manufacturer describes the capacity three ways in its own material — 9.5 litres in the specification table, 'around 10' in the description, and 3 plus 6 for the divided pans — which is a fair illustration of why litres tell you little about what fits. The version sold in the UK as NA565/92 is listed at 2,300 watts; the manual also covers a 2,750-watt version and gives each its own preset times.
