Stop and read this first
Stop using the appliance. Switch it off and unplug it at the wall — not at the appliance — and do not use it again until the manufacturer has advised you. An air fryer draws 1.5-2.8kW continuously and a fault in one is not a domestic repair. A thermal cut-out has operated
A protection device interrupts the supply when the appliance exceeds a temperature it was designed for. Blocked vents, insufficient clearance, a hot cupboard or accumulated fat all cause it, and at least one manufacturer publishes it as a named error state with an instruction to cool the appliance completely.

The drawer was opened, or has worked loose
Opening the chamber pauses the appliance by design. A drawer that vibrates a fraction open during cooking produces exactly the same effect and looks like a random shutdown.

An appliance that cuts out repeatedly after the ventilation and supply causes have been eliminated has a fault. Repeated operation of a protection device is the device working, and the underlying cause has not gone away.

An air fryer is one of the highest continuous loads in a domestic kitchen. Extension leads and multi-way adaptors are a recognised risk with appliances of this rating, and a breaker or RCD that trips is a fault indication rather than an inconvenience.

A thermal cut-out will not reset until the appliance is properly cool. Check the clearance the manual requires around and above it, that nothing is over the vents, and that it is not in a cupboard or under a shelf.
