Recalls and safety notices
Every product safety alert AirfryerHQ has read in full, with the identifiers printed on the products so you can check the label on the back of your machine against them.
This is not the UK register, and absence means nothing
No verified recall or safety notice is currently recorded in AirfryerHQ for this appliance. That is a statement about this catalogue and not about the product: AirfryerHQ holds a small number of checked alerts and is not a copy of the UK register. Check the authority's own register before concluding that an appliance is unaffected.
The Office for Product Safety and Standards publishes the UK register of product safety alerts, reports and recalls on GOV.UK, and Electrical Safety First operates a recall checker for electrical appliances. Registering an appliance with its manufacturer is what makes a direct notification possible.
There is deliberately no “check your model” box on this page. A checker over 9verified alerts would return “not affected” for almost every appliance in Britain, including the ones that have been recalled and are not in this catalogue — which is a worse outcome than no checker at all.

Six models in black. The alert names Argos, B&M Bargains, DID, Poundland, Robert Dyas, Sainsbury's, Tesco and the Tower Housewares website among the retailers that sold them. Country of origin China. The retailer SKU listed is the Sainsbury's SKU the alert gives for the T17067.
The hazard
The alert states that the product presents a risk of fire as it can overheat and ignite during use. No further mechanism is described, and no risk level is graded on the document.
What to do
The product has been recalled from end users. Owners are told to stop using it immediately and unplug it, and are directed to the Tower Housewares recall site at tower-safety.co.uk to check whether their product is affected and to register for a refund or replacement.

Haden 11L Double Stack Air Fryer, product code at Wilko
Also identified as 8387933
A black double stack, two-tray air fryer sold through The Range and Wilko. Country of origin recorded by the authority as unknown.
The hazard
The alert states that the thermal fuses can reach temperatures in excess of 150 degrees — the marked limit — without the product cutting out, and that during testing prolonged use on the highest setting caused plastic and metal parts to warp and melt. This is the most specific failure mechanism described in any of the three alerts: the protective device that should end the cook does not operate.
What to do
The product has been recalled from end users. Consumers are advised to stop using it and return it to any The Range or Wilko store for a full refund.

- No publication date appears on the alert document itself, and the register listing for this alert was not opened. The alert number encodes a year and month in the register's own convention, but inferring a calendar date for a safety notice from a reference number is not something this catalogue does.

Which products
FR-6964BS
Tristar Multi Crispy Fryer Oven, black, 10L
Barcode 8713016107152
Affected batches: T22298
Supplied in brown cardboard packaging with printing on the exterior. Country of origin China. Sold via Amazon; the alert records that the marketplace removed the listing.
The hazard
The alert states a serious risk of electric shock and fire, because poor internal construction can allow internal components to loosen during use, causing accessible metal parts to become live.
What to do
The product has been recalled from end users. The alert records no route to a refund beyond the recall itself, which is a common and unhelpful outcome where the seller is an importer trading through a marketplace.

Pro Breeze 2L Air Fryer 1000W with Digital Display
Black 2L air fryer with a pull-out drawer.
Barcode 5060596022409
Affected batches: 20061101, 20061102, 20101001, 20101002, 20120903, 21012603, 21031540
Sold via Amazon and the manufacturer's own site. Seven batch codes are named, and the barcode is published — which together are the only reliable way to check a machine, because the marketing name alone does not distinguish an affected unit from an unaffected one.
The hazard
The authority states that the product presents a risk of fire as it is possible for the internal components to overheat and ignite. Unlike most air-fryer alerts on the register, the fault is described as internal to the appliance rather than in its plug.
What to do
Recalled from end users. Owners are told to stop using the product immediately and unplug it from the mains, and are directed to the manufacturer's website to complete a recall registration form.

Which products
No. 288
A white air fryer with a rose-gold handle and one pull-out drawer.
Also identified as M010000000004793169, B0400000001200045036
Unbranded, country of origin China, sold through an online marketplace. Identified by model number and two marketplace identifiers rather than by a brand, which is characteristic of the products the border checks stop.
The hazard
The fuse within the plug does not contain granular filler. The filler is required to ensure the fuse operates safely under fault conditions, and its absence could lead to the plug overheating or exploding. Some required documentation and markings were also absent.
What to do
The import was rejected at the border and destroyed, and the marketplace listing was removed. No instruction is given to owners, because the products in question did not enter the market.

Which products
JD989A
A counterfeit black electric air fryer with an attached wall plug.
Affected batches: RVG15096-251127-0001-309
A counterfeit carrying a brand the authority names, country of origin China, categorised on the register under multi-cookers rather than air fryers. The most recent air-frying entry on the register at the access date.
The hazard
Two separate plug failures. The end caps on the plug's fuse measured below the minimum permitted diameter and contained no granular filler, which could lead to the plug overheating or exploding. Separately, the plug's live pin measured below the minimum permitted width, so it does not meet the dimensional requirements of BS 1363. Documentation and marking also required improvement.
What to do
The import was rejected at the border and destroyed. No instruction is given to owners.

Also identified as 09KAF0002ADG
Unbranded, country of origin China, identified by model number and SKU.
The hazard
The fuse incorporated into the plug does not contain sufficient granular filler and does not meet the minimum measurements required by the standard, so the fuse could fail and cause the plug to overheat and ignite.
What to do
The import was rejected at the border and destroyed. No instruction is given to owners.

Which products
AF586S-T
A black air fryer supplied in white cardboard packaging with a picture of the product on it.
Also identified as FBA15FGD1NG2U000137, X001C0P435
Sold through an online marketplace, identified by two marketplace identifiers.
The hazard
The top half of the fryer was intended to be fixed to the bottom section by four screws, and the screws had not been fitted. Any movement of the appliance caused the top half to separate from the bottom, leaving live parts exposed. The authority records this as a failure to design and manufacture in accordance with the principal elements of the safety objectives in Schedule 1 of the regulations.
What to do
The marketplace listing was removed. The authority additionally recommends that owners stop using the product immediately and contact the distributor they purchased from to request redress.

Cosori air fryer
About 2 million units in the United States, with about 250,000 more in Canada and 21,000 in Mexico, sold between June 2018 and December 2022 for $70 to $130. All are 3.7 or 5.8 quart single-basket machines — roughly 3.5 and 5.5 litres. The model number is printed on the bottom label of the unit and in the user manual. Health Canada issued a parallel recall for the Canadian units.
The hazard
A wire connection inside the air fryer can overheat. The firm received 205 reports of units catching fire, burning, melting, overheating and smoking, including 10 reports of minor superficial burn injuries and 23 reports of minor property damage.
What to do
Stop using the appliance immediately. Owners register at recall.cosori.com with their contact details and photographs of the unit with its cord cut off, and choose a free replacement air fryer or another Cosori product. No receipt is required.
AirfryerHQ has no affiliation with Cosori.

What the different kinds of notice mean
A product recallreaches products already in people’s homes and carries an instruction to owners. A product safety report usually does not: most of the ones above record an import stopped at the border and destroyed, or a marketplace listing removed. Presenting the second as the first would tell a reader their appliance is being recalled when it is not.
Four of the eight hazards above are the PLUG rather than the appliance — a fuse with no granular filler, or a pin below the minimum permitted width. That is worth knowing, because it is a failure that turns up on unbranded and counterfeit machines bought through marketplace listings, on a device that draws two kilowatts for twenty minutes at a time.
